I think it can last IF both people truly are commited to making it work. Marriage can be difficult under the best circumstances, so to start out with strikes against it is doubly hard. I say before the relationship goes that far, work all these issues out. Having children is a big decision. You both have to want the same thing as far as kids go, especially. If you don't work out these issues, you each will grow to resent each other. Marriage is a two way street, with plenty of give and take by both of you. I say seriously talk all the issues over and resolve them before getting married.
