prom advice???<<<<<<<breakup blues<<<<<<<<<<ladies help plz<<<<<<<<

OK, so i found out that the girl i wanted to ask to prom just broke up with her boyfriend around a week or 2 ago. i talked to one of her friends and she said she was just in the "i hate guys" mood. and she thinks she just wants to go single and not have to worry about a date.

however, the friend also told me that, "last year she told me she thought you were really cute." so i dint know now.

any advice? should i have her friend let her know i want to ask her or something?
the problem is we used to be OK friends and used to talk a bit. but for some reason we stopped talking for a few months now and i think it would be awkward to just go up to her one day after not talking to her and ask her to prom.

I'm trying to say hi and just start talking again but i ha vent been seeing her out side of the one class i have with her.

well last year was last year...this year's TOTALLY different...now you don't want to rush into anything so jest ease your way back into talking to her then ask her to the prom as FRIENDS...then AFTER the prom ask her out.....OK???

My advise is just to go up to her yourself and start a little conversation, like "wow we haven't talked in a long time, so how are you doing".. Something like that then....wait a day or two and do it again, but this time ask her. I think the worst thing a guy could do when trying to ask someone out is when they send a friend or someone Else's friend to do it. It is kind a sign of insecurity.. like your not confident in yourself. Just keep your head up, and it will all work out.

I think the only way to go is ROMANTIC. I think first you should try talking to her when you see her. Then let some of her friends know you like her, so they could say something to her. Then if she is positive about things, maybe bring her a single stemmed rose, or write her a note and leave it in her locker or on her desk when she is walking into class. I think it would be best to let her know how you feel and see how she reacts so you don't end up wasting your time.

first you have to be confident... a normal girl wont stop going to a prom just because she broke up with her boyfriend.. yeah maybe is a big thing for her,,, but its prom!!!! come on! for a girl that is really important... so if you are telling me that maybe you guys were friend this is a really good moment to ask her.. because for now she would like just a friend but later you can interact with her a little more and maybe go deeper that that! good luck!
