Default Could Someone Give me Some Advice About Getting Over a Breakup?

What makes it so very difficult is that I have not heard from him in 38 days. It's the kind of breakup in which you did not even know that he broke up with you. He just stopped speaking to me and never even told me that it was imminent. The last time we talked was on Jan 23 and we were on good terms. He never even mentioned that he was having second thoughts, and the he just stopped talking to me altogether, and I am just hurrt beyond all belief. I think that is the most terrible thing you can do to someone. It's the not knowing that kills me.Could someone offer me some advice on how to get over this. I don't want to start dating again for a long time. I don't wan to rush this, I just want to naturally get over him. We were together for 8 months.(we were 2 college students in an LDR and we couldn't move to closer to each other due to college and work)

Confront him while hes not with anyone and ask for the reason why and if he is horrible to you, you now know the true side of him and maybe realise he wasn't so gd for you after all or if he gives you a valid reason try to be understanding about why the realationship couldn't last

If you are in college, start going to functions and get out and quit moping. Eventually you will meet someone that is close and will move on.

The key here is closure.Talk to him, and don't take no for an answer. Find out what was going on, let him know that he really hurt you. After that, time, space, some comfy pajamas and a carton of Ben&Jerry's works wonders.

Move on, it's gonna take some distraction, find a guy who will compliment you. Trust me, new people are the best medicine
