My friend needs help with dating advice...?

My friend needs dating advice. She came to me but I can't really help her so I was like ok I will go on here. There is one of my good guy friend she likes and he likes her too. They hang out a lot and talk a lot and everyone thinks they are dating but they aren't because he hasn't asked her out yet. So I was talking to him last night and I asked him why he isn't dating my friend. And btw she is one of my best friends as well. He said he needs to sort through his problems before he will ask her out. His problems are; He still smokes pot, he gets into trouble still and he plays games (no idea on the last one.). Then he told me he is in a gang which I would of never guessed because he just isn't the gang type. So should I tell my friend to just move on or wait? I don't want her to get tangeled up into trouble with him but she really likes him and has fallen for her. I'm just trying to look out for a really good friend and keep her safe.

I'd say you should tell her what he said, and then tell him to ask her out when he gets everything fixed up. And tell her that too, especially since he is in a gang, you want her to be safe so tell her about his problems too.Get both of them (and you) together and talk about it all.
