No it's not just a movie. There IS VERY good dating and relationship advice in the movie.

I don't know. It was the last movie I saw with a former girl friend who later broke up with me. Seems kinda backwards.

of course its a movie....

but you get a lot of ideas from seeing the movie...

i love that movie...

especially there's a dialog in that movie...
if you wanna cheat, cheat death...
if you wanna lie, lie ....

something like that....

The whole theme of the movie is putting yourself out there, being honest and giving a couple tips. I would say do watch, its a good laugh if anything. But honesty and trust, common sense are major themes. So yeah, it does have good advice.

Movies are designs to bring out emotions which would be different in ever one just like music . I think in terms of acting good with woman watch James bond for some good advice or ideas mostly . But yeah may bee hitch will be good to .

it was a really goof movie and it did have great advice i am not sure the greatest advice for dating but maybe life i would say

If you actually watch the movie, you'll see that one of the main characters actually messes up the advice given and the girl falls in love with him for being himself. The whole point of the movie is Hitch learning that the best way to be in a relationship is being yourself. Everything else is stupid and manipulative.

Follow your heart, not a movie. It's cool to be entertained by movies and recite quotes, but it's not real life. Ask other friends or family for advice or if you're desperate even read dating books. In the end, you'll find that there is no movie, book or advice that will help you in being yourself which is the key to dating.
