Default Dating a younger guy? Help?

Okay so Im a 17 year old senior in high school, for the past 6 months I have been dating a 16 year old sophomore. I never thought I would date a younger guy, but I felt a really strong connection with him. An we automatically clicked, every month we just got closer and he is my best friend also. We've had an amazing relationship and we love each other more than anything..
But throughout the relationship I've always had doubts about us working out. And I'm star tin to notice even tho hes always been really mature with me, were on different maturity levels. I just don't know what to do CZ i do want it to work, but I can't help the fact that I do want an older guy that can take care of me and bout ta be going to college and stuff like I am.. Instead of waiting for a guy that's gonna be in high school for another two years. But I love him and I do want to be with him.. I want so bad for him to be that guy to take care of me but there's nothing he can do about it :/
Were gonna be on diff maturity levels I feel like we already are now..
I need advice what should I do?

when i saw this question i pounced on it, I'm dating a younger guy as well. mine is four years younger then me, an i as well have a similar problem, but this is your question. guys his age will always be immature in small ways, men mature slower then women and you re with a younger guy. you ll have to get used to the fact that you will be the more mature one in the relationship. but eventually he will grow up and mature. though there will be moments where he acts like a child, all men have those moments, even old men. what makes you think that later in life he cant be the one to take care of you? if he wants it bad enough, then nothing will stop him, he will be there for you. if he truly loves you, then he will do whatever it takes to be there for you. remember, its only one year difference, and while that may seem like a big thing right now, in the real world its really no big deal.

i dint think there is anything wrong with dating a younger guy... i think if u truly love him and he loves u then u guys will stay together even tho the small age difference... i think maturity is a big role in relationships but its not that big of a difference so i think even tho its only a year difference he can still be a year younger and take care of u
