Default question about internet dating and dating in general?

what do you think of interenet dating? It seems as tho it is becoming the most common way people are meeting eachother. Sites like eharmony and myspace are making it easier for people to find what they are looking for. There are many sucessful relationships and marriages of couples who have met on the internet. Do you think that its just part of times are changing and its just a new way to meet people? Technology has made it easier for people to find the ones for them. Do you think its a great thing thats happening?

It's all right. I mean, I did it as an experiment and I met a lot of socially awkward guys or guys who were way too busy to meet people any other way.I think it is a sign of the times in that respect. It's a lot easier to hide behind our jobs and technology and playing video games and doing whatever other random crap there is to do rather than make the effort to find people with our same interests and to be let down when they don't like us or go through the endless number of relationships it takes to find the right person.Internet dating cuts out that middleman because you can instantly cut to the chase: picture (do I find this person attractive), synopsis of their personality (do I find I have enough in common with this person) and if there is any discrepancy in our feelings, then we just delete that person and there's no mess to it.However, I think there will be many people who miss out on what dating is supposed to be all about -- making friends, making connections and finding someone who will be dedicated to you, not just matched with you.I also do volunteer work and go out to clubs and play trivia and try to do a lot of activities that will bring me closer to people I admire and have similar interests with. That helps me keep a human connection and keeps my personality skills fresh -- and has helped me find a job before and make at least two friends that I can't imagine life without. So, even when it didn't lead to a date or romantic relationship, the relationships I had by trying to find people face-to-face were still worth it.
