Default HELP! My face is SO dry and I have a date!?

I used some sort of acne face wash and now my face is horrible! Im having an allergic reaction or something and my face is SO dry that you can see the dry skin and its disgusting. Tomorrow I'm going out with this guy I like, its the first time ill actually be with someone nice and now my face is ruined! The only way that I get my face back to normal is if I wet it like, every 2 minutes. My face is so tight and stiff that I can barely speak or smile without it hurting and it shows more dry skin. What do I do?! Pleaseeee help me! Im seriously about to cry its so bad.

If you have any lotion then hurry and put on that. A really small amount of olive oil does the trick for me.

Jojaba oil!! Its great for intensive moisturizing especially on your face as it's non - carcinogenic so it won't clog your pores. Should be able to get it from a pharmacy.

right

relax
stressing will only make things worse
and this is simple to fix

get a flannel and use warm water
exfoliate your face with it
no soap, nothing, just the warm water

pat dry
cover your face in a moisturizer, a cocoa butter or Shea butter one if you have it
rub in lots, and then put a layer on and let it soak in
after a few hours, repeat with the face cloth, and rub in some more cream

i bet your face is as good as new
use the flannel & moisturize in the morning as well

hope you have a great date!

I used a clean and clear acne wash, and the next morning i woke up, my face was so horrible and dry, like it looked scaly EVERYWHERE. I actually did cry because i was supposed to see my boyfriend the next day, and i hadn't seen him for a week prior to my dry face.

What i did was made a face scrub with sugar, extra virgin olive oil and honey, and rubbed it ALL OVER my face. I left it on for about 20 minutes, washed it off, and then put on my Cetiphil SPF 15 Everyday Moisturizer(I think that's what its called, it has like a pump at the top of the bottle) like as soon as all of the scrub was off. I waited a couple hours, then used the scrub again, and added more Cetaphil, and kept applying it every hour. The next day i woke up with some dry patches, but it was a HUGE difference.

Once again i used the scrub, put on my moisturizer but i actually did my makeup. I had added my moisturizer to my foundation, and i didn't have any dry spots at all for the whole day. And i ha vent had any since, and Ive continued to use the acne wash, but i always put on moisturizer right after.

Ok, there's a really good home remedy for this. Get a pack of green tea, microwave half a cup with water like you would any other drink. Let it fall to a warm like temp and squeeze the pack gently to get it as concentrated as possible.SAVE THE PACKET. Take 1-2 tablespoons(you can use more tablespoons if you need) of the concentrated green tea, put it in a bowl.

Add one tablespoon of honey, and 1 to 3 teaspoons(depending if you can use the scrub of the grains of sugar) of plain white sugar to the bowl. Mix thoroughly, then use a cotton swab or ball and dab it into the bowl, then rub it all over your face, leave it on for about 30 seconds and then gently wash off. Pat skin dry. Take the packet and rub it on your face, it'll act as a natural toner. No need to wash it off. Then put on a moisturizer heavily to hydrate your face even more. The green tea has antioxidants, so it should help the irritation.

Hope this helps you, and good luck.

Fill a bowl with boiling water and lean over it. Your face should be about 6 inches above the water. Put a towel over your head to keep the steam in. Stay there for ten Min's or so. This will open your pores up and then you can use a moisturizer or moisturizing face mask to combat the dry skin.
