Default Female advice plz!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok... so I'm kinda thinking about having another child but I've been on depo for a little over a year now... Now, I was a little late in getting my shot the last time... I was due on the 31st of July but didn't receive the shot until the 10th of August.... Now I know that percentage is low for getting pregnant (but I don't know!).... what do you think?helpoh...btw... I go for my next shot on the 1st of November... I'm probably just going to see what my doctor recommends but I'm going crazy right now thinking about it.....help!!!!!!

The doctor always recommends getting the depo shot every 12 weeks - but it does actually last 14weeks. The chance of you being pregnant is very low, as most women who come off depo dont get pregnant straight away (it took me 5 months)

It's WAY doubtful you're pregnant. Even with the late shot. Most women have trouble getting pregnant right away when they go off the depo. For some women, regular cycles don't happen for up to 18 months after stopping, making conceiving extremely difficult. If you know you want another baby in the relatively near future, don't get the shot in November. Even if you don't want to conceive RIGHT away, go off and use another form of birth control in the meantime. Your body will need time to get back on track so you can become pregnant.Talk to your doctor about it.Good luck!

It normally takes several months to get the depo out of your system. Take a home preg test to ease your mind. However, depo can cause bad birth defects.I switched from DEPO to Mirena IUD because of the ease of getting pregnant afterwords. The only maintenance is checking the string monthly and replacing it every five years. The side effects are much less, except the no period one.

It can actually take some time to conceive after coming off Depo, so your chances are very low. Since you are wanting to conceive and welcome another little one into your life, I would suggest NOT getting the shot on the 1st of November. All the best to you!
