Default female question?

i am suppose to start my period in one week. i have cramps already but havent started. they feel more like cysts as opposed to just regular cramps (and yes i have had a cyst before). also the labia minora down there is in pain. i took a hot bath which helped a little but it still hurts. i have an appointment with the gyno in like two weeks because thats as soon as they could get me in. has anyone had anything like this before? thanks!

When i'm getting my period i usually get cramps like 2 weeks before and my labia will hurt. I'll get cramps and be irritable for a while before i even get it.

my period was 18 days late and i thought that i was pregnant but i wasn't, it could be a cyst if you are experiencing abdominal pelvic pain so it might be the cyst that's delaying your period. if it hurts you allot you should go to the doctor and require a pelvic exam to make sure. they will give you some pain killers till you see your gynecologisti wish you heal fast

Oh I've had many ovarian cysts in my Life time. Some have gone away on their own during the regular menstrual cycle and others get bigger and more painfull and usually require surgery (which I"ve had twice). Is your pain on either the left or right side? What happened to the cyst you had before and how did you discover it? Do you have endometriosis? If your periods are heavy and irregular, severe pelvic cramps and hard to get pregnant you might have this very common disease that also is responsible for a lot of ovarian cysts and adhesion's. Although other condition in women can also cause ovarian cysts and some are normal ( the kind that go away with your monthly period). There is usually nothing at all to worry about. Cysts don't rupture all that often and if they do you get to the emergency room ASAP. Not much you can do for the pain unless you are lucky and your doctor has prescribed a pain medication for you. Hope you don't have the cyst and that your pain get's better in two weeks. Good luck!
