How do I help my male with the death of my female? This just happened today.?

My male is 9 years old. My female was about 8. They have been a very happy couple. They have had 36 children and cared for them together. I do not know if I should get him another female or just let him be alone. He and I have always been close. He comes out of his cage daily. Will I be enough?

If they are lovebirds you should get another female they do better in pairs, I would advise getting another female anyway because he may not do well alone after having a mate.
