How long does it take for..? (a female question)?

How long does it take (how many periods) does it noramlly take before getting into a regulare cycle. I've only had 2 so far and I hate it soo much, but luckly It hasn't happened during school. I want to know about when will it be normal because I don't want to be at school without a pad and it happens. I can't deal with that kind of embarrament.Please help me and give any advise on the begining of regular periods.The first and second were around 4 months apart.Just to be clear I really don't like it I just wish it wasn't random.

I've had mine for I think 3 years or 4 and they just now started to get regular (I'm 16), but still are late a few days or sometimes early..Just take a pad with you at all times, or two if need be. Aren't too hard to hide, it's what I did. :]Best of luck.

They should be regular after three years. Mine never did become regular so I went on birth control to fix that.Just keep a pad in your school bag, and maybe a spare pair of undies.

Everybody is different, but I think it would take a good year for you to start having normal cycles, if it hasn't happened by then go for a gyno appt (Which you should anyways once you get your period). Don't worry;-)

It is different with everyone sweetie. Be patient and just keep an extra pad in your purse or backpack so you are ready if it comes at school. You have to learn to deal with it because you will have it until you are close to 50.
