Default Female friend advice: what did i do wrong?

Hi guys, can you help me here?I have been close friends with a girl for afew years now and she in the past has given me more than afew reasons to think she liked me and was attracted to me, as i was her. When i met her she was engaged and she soon after had problems with her fiance and was upset about her troubles so she would call my mobile and ask if we could meet up to chat. I acted as like a shoulder to cry on. Even though i fancied her i didnt ever discourage her relationship as i am not that kind of person. Maybe i should have been more up front to get anywhere but hey, its done now. Anyway we would have drinks and chat afew times and she enjoyed my company as i did hers. It took her mind off her problems. She soon later split up with her fiance and part of me thought heres my chance to tell her i really like her but because it was soon after breaking up with her bf i didnt push it so i never said a thing. I figured i would wait a while and continue going for drinks with herto see how things were going. For months they were fine and she continued to show interest in me texting me to say i have this and that to do tonight but can we meet up because i still want to miss you and other texts saying i miss you. So months went by and we continued going out for more drinks and as far as i knew we were close friends but suddenly this other guy comes into the picture and she starts dating him and literally kicks me to the curb as a friend, breaking off all ways of contact (email, telephone, text etc). Things were all going well til this guy came along and then she changed and and seemingly cut me off completely, leaving me wandering what i did wrong.Even today i have to email her to get any kind of response from her and then she doesn't always reply. I get that she is with a guy now but why cut me off like i didn't exist. We were really close friends. She has even had parties with her new fella and not invited me.Im a nice guy, i don't deserve this.Opinions

Give it time and see where it goes from here. The end of her relationship is too new still. Give her breathing space. And just take it as it comes.
