My best friend is very addicted to alcohol. How can I help in this personal issue? I work near Alpharetta, Georgia. Are there any local government or voluntary or private companies that can help me with this?

You can easily locate alcohol and drug rehabilitation clinics in your city or town. Check the directory focused on your town and state. Check into free aid on how to help an addicted loved one. Good luck to you

First you should have a talk with him/her and let them know you are concerned. They check your local listings for Alcoholic Anonymous and get the person enrolled into a program or you could probably check with your local hospital for a program. The person has to want to cure him/herself though in order to be successful. Good luck

Try looking up your local chapter of Al-Anon.Al-Anon may be listed in the white pages of your local telephone directory. Cities with local information services are listed on our Web site. Many of those listed post meeting information on their Web sites. For meeting information in Canada, the US, and Puerto Rico you can call 1-888-4AL-ANON (1-888-425-2666) Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm ET.Good luck

i say talk to your parents. ask what you could do to help with his problem. you might want to talk to his parents about maybe seeing a doctor or someone that will know how to deal with it.

How old is your friend and how addicted is he or she? If your friend is under the legal age you could report them to a parent or someone who can do something about it. If you both are adults try not drinking or partaking in drinking around him or her and encourage others to do the same. Have a group of loved ones all talk to the friend about the concerns and if he or she is willing to get help there are medical ways to help so see a doctor to see what is best for your friend. Good luck and your friends lucky to have you care so much about their health.

You can organize a confrontation meeting and convince him to get into rehab
