Do you tip someone whos a friend?

Tomorrow I plan on going to a new restaraunt that my friend works at. He is the waiter. Do you tip someone who is a friend? Would it be rude not to? Or would it be weird TO tip them BECAUSE they are your friend?

I have a problem with tips in general. I think when I go into a restaurant and pay for the meal I eat, that should be enough. It is the establishment's obligation to pay the staff, not mine.But if you dont have this opinion of tips, and you tip everywhere else, then yes, tip him.

As your routine you can. But please see that he wouldnot feel bad your presence their, avoid his paying yourbill.

Of course you should tip him. I mean, hopefully he doesn't totally suck at his job. But, the fact that you guys are friends he is probably going to go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of, so you should go out of your way to tip him well. But, thats just my opinion....
