Default How can I do more for a friend that is far away, and needs help?

I have a friend in West Haven Ct., and I live in Texas. She was diagnosed last year with breast cancer, and had to have a total masectomy. Then after that, her husband left her. She moved in with her Mom, and then her Mother developed Altzymers. Now Yvonne has her to care for, and tries to take care of herself as well. She financially does not have much, so I once in a while will help her with something she needs. Now, last night she called me crying sayting the doctors found a tumor in he colon. She is pretty sure that the cancer has spread. Can I ask anyone out there to pray for her. Im asking all my friends, and I thought it wont hurt if I ask you out there as well! Any advice for her or suggestions?

Call her often and talk briefly. Pray for her on the phone. My sister and I do this for each other and it helps tremendously!Send her cards and notes of encouragement.

Could you go visit for a few days? Spending your time is worth so much more than your money.Otherwise, you could investigate what other sources of help may be available to her and/or her mother, either financial or practical. How about doing an online shop at a grocery store near her and having them deliver a few days'worth of groceries? And occasional'thinking of you'cards or small, thoughtful gifts will mean a lot too.
