I want to date my friend, Advice please!?

My friend that I met last year barely touched me, I was always the one to ask for a hug and for a simple hand shake! Well, this year, He is always holding out his hand for me to take and won't let it go until we have to and is hugging me almost every time we see each other. I really like him and there was a rumor going around that he liked me to, so I asked a friend of both of ours to ask him if he liked me. He said that he thought I was a great friend and thought that I was really cool, but that he didn't like me that way. The thing is that he doesn't do any of the stuff he does with me to his other friends, not even his best friend. Should I believe him on the fact he likes me as only a friend or should I go with my gut and go with he likes me? Advice Please!

I had i friend i would always hug kiss and hold hands with too he was such a good friend one day we cut class and went down to the basket ball court and we was talking watching the game and he kissed me this time on the lips the i looked at him and he looked at me ant we both said ew ew ew lol not ment to be at all lol

I fell in love with my friend. The hard part about that is when you start having problems. You won't want to let go. For instance when my friend-slash-bf began working two jobs, he didn't have time to hang out with me, and I felt a bit lonely without having my friend/boyfriend to cuddle, haha.It feels really good to be in a relationship with your friend...it is. It's like nothing else. At least for me it is. ^_^ Some other people may disagree.
