What are my friend's chances of getting into the Stanford Doctorate program?

Hi, just need some quick tips for a friend who's majored in History at San Francisco State University (with a Bachelor's) and wants to pursue a Doctorate at StanfordHere's the stats:GRE Verbal: 680GRE Quantative: 620GRE Analytical: 580Letters of Recommendation: PendingGPA for all 6 years: 3.78Dean's List: Not MentionedAwards: Sara Ruth Prize for best history essayScholarships: NoneDoes it help that he's also majored in Economics* and in Pre-Med/Nursing* and that the History program he majored in was an Honors* program???

your chances are slim to none and the award :"Sara Ruth Prize for best history essay"is not gonna help you get in. never even heard of it

good luck with that...its VERY hard to get into that at stanford and without a 4.0 gpa or any serious awards or accomlishments his admissions essay is going to have to hit hard on someone but even then his chances are very slim, probably none.
