My guy friend always comes to me first to ask my advice instead of his girlfriend.?

I am a good friend to this guy friend. He always is coming to me for personal advice instead of going to his girl that he has been dating for a year. Why does he do this? Does he wish to be with me and he is afraid to say so? They are personal questions regarding his personal matters, banking, work, other friends, etc......I asked him once about it and he answered, I respect your opinion. But shouldn't he ask his girl?

Maybe he simply feels more comfortable talking to you about it?Or maybe he feels as though his girlfriend will think less of him if he goes to her asking for advice. It could be a weird reason as to why he does this but I'm sure its logical.Try asking him again in a subtle way and see what he says.

He sees you as a friend. Not a girlfriend. There's a huge difference.
