My friend has two kids who both started smoking at the ages of 11 and 14. The kids have other problems too, and have been hanging around people who are bad influences on them. I am concerned for their well-being and want to help and offer advice, but i also dont want to sound like im trying to tell her what to do. Advice would be appreciated!
Theres not much you can do.Im sure the mother realizes these bad things but kids dont change unless they want to change.The mother needs to crack down and not give a shit if the kids hate her... But that might just push the kids to do it behind her back.There really is no answer.
One of the worst things anyone can do, is tell them how to raise their kids. Would you like it, if someone came up to you and"hey you're a crappy parent, you need to do this instead of this?"No you wouldn't. So the best thing for you to do, is support her decision. You may not like it, but you don't have to. They're not your kids.
