Why did my BOYFRIEND pick me up and French KISS me? :)?

My boyfriend and i live 2 hours apart so we don't get to see each other often and we're both 17.
the other day we were kissing goodbye, so I had my arms around his neck and he had his arms around my waist- and we kissed and he picked me up so my legs were around his waist- he picked me up and continued french kissing me with one hand behind my head and one around my waist.
Why did he pick me up? :]

My boyfriend does that too, it's mainly a gesture of care and to imply that he enjoys it. Plus he may be trying to make you comfortable and feel like he's being sweet.
