Just like a picture in a frame, a love song has captured a moment in time. I think that it depends on how much a person is influenced by artistic expression, music and poetry whether a song hurts or helps. I do not think it hurts any more than watching the 2% of the most attractive people in the world on TV and expecting the people in our daily lives to look as flawless. It helps me if it is the right song, but yes it also has the power (the music does) to p!*&me off if I'm mad at my man. For example, yesterday, I was trying to keep the lid on the frustration my husband and I'd been feeling with one another over the last day, so I played the CD my sister gave me for our honeymoon trip.
