I'm in love with a taken man, help?

So, I've had his number for about 9months, not a day goes by we don't consistently text each other. If i don't reply, he gets really upset, he gets upset if there's not about 5 X's on the end of the text, we spend hours on the phone, done things such as...phone sex. He talks to me, text me, so much more than his boyfriend. They treat me better, and they have admitted to loving me. And he's not afraid to tell me, testing me random "I love you" texts. But now. The boyfriend (whom I have never met) has LentNTf my exsistence. Not to the full extent, but has forbidden him from seeing me, in particular attending my birthday celebrations at the end of the month. I'm madly in love with him, but I just don't know what to do? Should I ask for him to choose, him or me? Or something else? I couldn't imagine him not in my life.

if his boyfriend has forbidden him to see you what makes you think you have the power to ask him to choose between you, it sounds like the bf has the upper hand here. good luck.

talk to him about it. ask him what he feels would be best, but not to forget your opinion too.

This guy is playing you in order to create drama. He's giving you all this fairytale )(**&^&^&% so you'll be hooked, and then he'll come up with a hundred ways to hurt you. Missing your birthday is just the start. There will be promises, broken promises, fights, tearful phone calls - but no happiness, at least for you. You are being worked for the benefit of the current relationship.
Get out while you can.

Go and punch the crap out of the boyfriend.... OK, forget that, just go and talk to your love and tell him that you love him and that you don't agree with what the boyfriend is doing!

Ask him to choose and if he doesn't choose you then just move on and find someone else.
