Is this good advice, love like you've never been hurt?

Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."-Mark TwainAs one gains experience with relationship failures it is tempting to disregard Mark Twain's advice. What do you think is best? Is it smart to guard you heart? Or be idealist as in Mark Twain's quote?

Learn the lessons from your past, but don't bring along the baggage and don't go into a relationship expecting to get hurt. You can allow past experiences to make you wiser, without keeping your guard up all the time or living as if you expect the rug to be pulled from under you at any moment.

yeahhh you need to guard your heart but at the same time do all those quotes i think maybe take your time and then love like mark twain says =)

thats a great quote. you can't live life by what happened yesterday because if you do then you will miss out on what will happen tomorrow. you go through many ups and downs in life and their are times when you just want to give up but thats when you just live through it so that you can experience another high in your life. if life was perfect all the time then it wouldn't be life.
