How exactly does TWLOHA(To Write Love On Her Arms) help people?

I have recently heard about this organization, who helps people with depression, self-injury, suicide, ect. How exactly do they help?

i don't get this club. it is at my school and i think it is kind of pointless because basically all the suicidal people join it so they can't go out to help others. but its a long name..

TWLOHA is an organization that lets people know that they are loved for who they are.Kinda like the Free Hugs organization.

It spreads awareness of the issues it deals with, which is huge. A lot of the problems these people have is with those around them simply being ignorant. Depression and self-injury aren't discussed at all in schools, and parents aren't educated in how to look out for their children and recognize symptoms. Eating disorders and drug addiction are highly publicized issues but there's some sort of taboo on depression that people are reluctant to break; TWLOHA is breaking it and letting people with these problems know that there's hope.
