Does anyone have any ideas on how to start writing a love song/lyrics?

I am starting to write a love song and I have no idea how to start write the lyrics for it. I love to write poems but I have never tried to write a song and I am want to try to write one for my boyfriend. Please help.

just think about the general tone and feel of the song (which you've got already). if a tune/melody comes along, run with it and the words will come together in your mind. remember, songs and poetry really don't have to rhyme, but if that would make it more comfortable for you, that's okay. also, try not to get frustrated and if you get stuck, calm down and read over what you have so far. i hope that helps!
