In "A Walk To Remember" They quote from the BIble, 1 Corinthians chapter 13. AWESOME definition of love.

In Sense and Sensibility, Marriane quotes a poem from Shakespeare, which I have always felt gives a good definition of love.

Basically saying that true love does not dependent on receiving love in return. It's talking about unconditional love. That can weather any Storm.
