In my opinion I think that it means that you have all the stages and feelings of a wonderful friendship but it happens so much faster and its more intense
for example - you meet your friend and you enjoy their company and you spend more and more time together and one day you consider that friend family and love them
in a romance you do the same thing only its a more intense relationship and you fall in love a lot quicker.
