Love Quotes Many times love quotes express our feelings in ways that conversation can not carry. They can clarify our minds with simple words containing nothing but pure, love binding metaphors.

the ceremony is a humanist one so no need for bible stuff, i want them though to know that love is special and how lucky they are to have each other and to keep on doing it - and also express my love for them as a couple - if left on own I'll end up with something as long as Dante's inferno!!

I'm going to try to speak the words
that my heart wants you to know
I want you to see what you mean to me
and why I love you so.

Nobody else can know my thoughts
and touch my soul like you can
No one can melt my heart like you do
simply by holding my hand.

With a loving glance or a tender kiss
you make my cares disappear
Warm thoughts of you surround me
and always keep you near.

I need nothing more from you than this-
to know that you'll always be mine
And the promise of your love in my life-
until the end of time.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under ( you should excuse the word) heaven, "etc. This is from the old Testament; Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. But whoever wrote it was both a realist and a fatalist; he was not by any ones definition a Christian or even a particularly devout Jew. Another one frequently read at Unitarian weddings is Khalil Gibran's poem. "On Marriage". ( "let there be spaces in your togetherness), etc." Have fun!

i used "i do not love you" by Pablo Neruda. he has a TON of other great poems about love and affection that are less frequently used.

Okay then . . . just skip the religious readings at the top and move straight to the secular ones further down.
