How do you write a love story?

I have been wanting to write a love story for some time now but I am really struggling when it comes to putting pen to paper. I find it hard to find the inspiration to write. I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions as to what makes a cracking romance for a novel. Thank you for your time and i hope you can give me a few good suggestions.

In a love story the main focus is the characters and is more character driven then plot driven. Why don't you try reading some romances for inspiration. Go to Amazon.com and look at the different genre and distinguish between them.

Put in a heroin, hero who fall in love. Then put in a villan who tries to stop or interefere with their love. Then put a conflict in which the hero or heroin go through in trying to get back at the villan or stop his misery apon the couple.

Love stories are really quite hard to write, I am currently writing one myself. It's especially hard if you haven't experienced true love. Though love isn't like the movies and in romance novels as it is portrayed to be. So you must decide first, fictional love, or real, true love. Depending on what you choose, you write the major love scenes first. Then build off of them in detail and viola! Though it's rough thinking up love scenes so look up some famous love scenes, like in movies, books, plays. Anything that seems like a good love scene to you. Though romance novels are quite tricky you have to manage it depending on the age your going for. Usually romances are based for adults, who more relate to true love. Though many teen inspired romances are written by witty writers who no just how to advert the teens thoughts of the traditional love. It makes the books more interesting and not constantly on the influential track.
