when readin a good romance story do u hate it when the main character dies!?!??!?

o-k so if i were to write a story,and have one of the main characters die,would u HATE it?or what?!would it make it better?or would u be pissed off at the book/author!?idk need ideas for a ROMANCE STORY ALSO!!give me anything!!PLEASE!!!

I won't say which book I'm talking about because it would be a spoiler - but yes, I recently read a romance novel where the main character died at the end, and I hated it! I mean, I hated the fact that she died, but I still loved the book. It was a really good romance novel and I'd recommend it to people. So it depends... If you can make me get upset but still love the book, then it's a winner!

Ahh! Well personally i would hate it, but that would make me love it more, if you understand what im saying.Maybe, what you could do is have like a first book thats all romancy about the main charcter [ex; maybe its a girl name Rose, and her boyfriends name is idkkk.. uhh.. Josh] So you kinda watch all of their experiances, something happens to josh, and then rose is trying to get over him and stuff in the rest of the book?

If it's a romance I would hate it, I thinks it's terrible when the girl and guy finally get it together an something terrible happens and one of them dies. It makes me soooo sad. It makes for a good story though, but I still get really pissed at the author. Maybe unless they both die.If it's not a romance novel and the main character dies as a hero or something, like he saved a bunch of people, now that's ok.
