I need advice on how to write better stories, poems, etc)?

I think that im not a very good writer and i need advice on how to use more intellegent words to make stories sound better. I usually write horror and romance stories. All advice is appreciated!

Well, this might sound dorky, but find what you really love.Great writers and poets write about their passions.And thats what makes a great writer/poet.Good luck, I'm sure your a great writer anyway.
