I'm a little scared to write romance stories. Can somebody help me?

I use to write steamy romance stories, but now I feel kinda bad/uncomfortable putting my characters in those naughty situations. For some crazy reason now I feel like my characters (although they're FICTIONAL) are gonna go to hell for making love before marriage or my stories are gonna encourage real people to make love before marriage.What in the world is up with me (lol)?Thanks y'all for your answers I feel so much better. ^_^

Awww... You have a conscience. At least your characters do. Maybe use that in the stories. A character with a conscience could be interesting.I get a little uneasy when I re-read a scene I've written that is"steamy."I tend to laugh at it though because it sounds so... weird to put into words what people actually do.And I can honestly say I've never been inspired to run out and get laid after reading a book, so rest easy.

If you're not comfortable writing that sort of thing, don't push yourself to do so. If you want to, just remember that it is fiction and people won't go out and have pre-marital sex because of one story--and that your characters are fictional and anything they do will not have real consequences.
