What is a good birthday gift for a brand new Relationship?

I have been talking to this guy for about 2 months or so and he has a birthday coming up. I want to get him a gift but I don't want to go overboard since our relationship is brand new and we have not even been intimate yet but, I do want to get him something to show him I care. Any ideas?

A brand new car! lol jk. Take him out to dinner, Buy him some movie tickets, or get him a watch. Remember its the thought that counts.

Maybe a really good card, and a gift card or cash so they can choose what they would like since everything is still new..your getting to know them so i think that would be appropriate.

I like the brunch/meal/date thing too. Give the gift of you, not of some trinket.
