How to start a new relationship. Help!?

I met this guy the other night, and I fell really hard for him. I really, REALLY like this guy, but I am afraid that I will scare him off (like I always seem to do with guys.) I don't know all the"rules"of dating, and I don't know where to go from here. We exchanged email addresses, and I don't know how long to wait before I email him. He is friends with a couple of my other friends, and they said that he is the most shy person they've ever met, meaning he will never make the first move...and they said he probably has never had a serious girlfriend. I know I have to be careful about the way I approach this, I just don't know how to do it. Can anyone help me? I really like him, and I want to do it the right way this time. Every other time I go for a guy, I always seem to scare them off, and I don't want to do that this time. I am ready to let someone into my life, and I want it to be fun...I don't want it to feel like I have"work at it"to get it starte, but I may have to. HELP!!

wow u really like this guyi say 2 days after party should be a good time to email him - in the email just asks if u two can hang out sometimewhen he says ya (cause he will cause u sound awesome) just try to stay relaxed and not"scare him away"if you feel comfortable then he will sense that and feel the same way tootake it slow and i think it will all work out finegood luck
