Hey, I'm thinking about working as a PSO aside from my very sporadic catering job. This question is for people with experience in this line of work, and without judgment. What time of day is the best time/busiest to be "on-call"? And what kind of "shifts" are pretty standard for someone in this kind of work? How many hours a day?

Would I need a land line, or would a cell phone be just as fine?

How much would you say someone staring out could making working maybe 25 hours/wk?

And what advice would you give somebody who's never done this before? Don't get me wrong, I'm not shy, I have no problem being open about sex, and am more than fascinated with all the weirdness out there, but I just don't know how to steer a conversation, and figure out what each person wants.
